Silver Creek Log Homes specializes in the construction of new milled log homes and in the renovating and
repairing of log homes already built in the Northwest Ohio and
Southeast Michigan area. We can provide you with a simple log shell,
a complete home, or stop anywhere in between. We approach new log homes a little differently than some do, as
we do not publish a "book of plans". We start with an idea you have or help you to come up with one,
and then convert this into working drawings, based on your desires and your log home building budget. Our prices
for designing, blueprinting and building your home are based upon on its complexity and how much of the project
you wish us to do. All pricing is done on an individual basis.
Western Red Cedar, Eastern White Pine and even Redwood logs are available. The 6" x 8" "D"
style log is our most popular profile. The 8" x 8" "Round" is close behind. We also have other log
profiles available. Your logs will arrive at your site milled to profile. We do all joinery on site with heavy
duty routers, saws and drills. We use select or #1 Douglas Fir for all of our exposed structural posts, beams, joists, and rafters.
We have a very extensive, detailed listing of all of the different parts that go into a log home, from site
clearing to your roofs' ridgecap. This listing allows us to make sure that you get what you want in your home and helps
to eliminate common mistakes such as ordering and shipping the wrong windows, doors, or plumbing fixtures.
